Many fundamental religions are about invisible truths, and have substantial social and financial and historical dialogues too, that attach themselves as a certainty to the invisible truths.
Bhuddism exists in an overcrowded world of invisible spirits, Mara, Shiva, Trees, Mortality, and representations of essences, that you can individually chose between and cause a huge amount if irresolvable suppositions about the physical actions caused by the spirits and blurred relations in between them. The fantastical nature of the dieties and their purpose makes the religious thought intrisically philosophical and irresolute, as opposed ot monotheistic dogma.

It is also the main mode of human thought, Government is ...., shopkeeper X is ..., Neighbour Y is... , Brother Z is ...,
And internationally, all the stereotypes and debates are of the kind... Country X is ..... and needs to Q, Religion Y is .... and needs to do R, Politician needs to do Q or X or W.

Meditating on stillness is a process where by a concept of void can be prolonged in your mind for 5, 10, 15 seconds. Beyond that stage, a thought normally arises, and where a thought arises, a million others dwell. In my experience, it is easy to think of void concepts, i.e. focus on a sense or on stillness of wonder, for a number of seconds, say a maximum of 20 seconds. That concept will fade after 15 seconds. It is nevertheless a very powerful tool to be able to wonder about your own conciousness in almost total silence even for 2-3 seconds. When you fill your mind with peace even a few seconds, it can be prolonged.
The secondary aspect of meditation that i was informed of, is that of organzing thoughts... positive thoughts, negative thoughts, current views, judgements, chores, missions, all have to be examined after a prolonged meditation of focus on the senses. That said, I didn't read particulary amazing info about processes of thought organization from buddhist litterature, however there are many fascinating "techniques" and practical guides for catching innate reactions, examining them, and re-programming them, in modern hypnosis and motivation guides.

Some people say: Judge not and you will not be judged...
Often times when i have heard it, There was understatement of reprimand towards he who judges, imposed by the one who sais the phrase!!! That's a paradox. A wise statement.
Spiritual laws that are universal philosophy used by people to attract you to their religion are words of good intentions, the world of many people is one family, and that there are no struggles in between faiths.
We can also speak in practical terms too. Persians made an empire in India, and Shah Jahan and other great moghul emperors had interfaith discussions with representatives of all the religions... Christian and muslim religions theologists can have some true friendships, and actually they would tend to disagree about everything!!!!
So the Shia was created in the times of Moghuls and tolerance, from the school of faith of the great Persian empire, and now shia and sunni are having a religious war with decapitations etc. in practical terms, religions make wars.
Every faith is a friend, and the more peaceful a faith is, i.e. Buddhism for example, has made millions of conversions in western culture, you can say that 1/2 europeans has admiration for it and for the rules of compassion and aims of meditation, we almost all have Bhuddist gods in our house, and it is not a god of creation, it is a law of tranquility and mysticism.
Some religions have a very primitive rule of not studying all faiths, and anyone who betrays a strict faith with be punished.
These are the kinds of books that i talk about, and you speak of spiritual values of equilibrium.
Take a religion that is totally unacceptable to the Koran, Buddhism:

Why do i need a creator, i can have many spirits, i can have my own mind to discover as a primary spiritual quest??? mission of wisdom?
If god is infinitely old and wise, he does not judge any lowly intelligent children towards condemnation. he knows the future too, so any books he would have written would have avoided all wars... mission of wisdom and family of mankind is unrelated to a single faith, it is the mixing of many, not one, customs.

Actually people are territorially erupting monkeys. they are erupting on the telivision, erupting down the street, erupting in the capital city.
